You can always count on a kind word and a friendly smile from Edie at our front desk. She has worked with Dr. McEvoy since 1993. Edie lives just down the road from the practice and has two grown sons.

Say hello to Dawn at our front desk. Dawn has been working with Dr Covert since the spring of 2014. She sincerely appreciates working with a great team within our beautiful community. You can often find her enjoying the Prospect and Halifax area out for a hike, soaking up the ocean scenery, enjoying delicious food and hanging out with her family.

Lisa RDH
Hygienist

Lisa graduated as a Dental Hygienist in 1989, and joined Shad Bay Dental in 2006. She currently lives in Brookside with her husband and daughters. Lisa originally hails from Montreal, and is fully bilingual. She enjoys working at our family oriented office in the community she lives in.

Laura RDH BDH
Hygienist

Laura grew up in the city of Halifax but graduated from the Canadian National Institute of Health in Ottawa with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2013.  She continued her education and graduated from Dalhousie University with her Bachelor of Dental Hygiene in 2015.  Laura has been with the  ShadBayDental team since June 2015.

Deanna RDH
Hygienist

Deanna grew up in Sackville , Nova Scotia .  Deanna attended St. Mary’s University where she studied  Bachelor of Arts in Psychology until 2014  . She would then attend Dalhousie University where she continued her education to complete her Diploma in Dental Hygiene in 2016 .  Deanna has been with the ShadBayDental team since May  2017.

Dara RDA
Dental Assistant

Originally from Yarmouth NS Dara graduated NSCC’s Dental Assisting Program in 2018 at the top of her class. She loves the variety of ways she is able to help her patients, and is always ready with a smile and story to help put them at ease. Patient care and empathy are always her top priorities along with providing the best quality treatment possible. When not at work Dara spends much of her time in the competitive video game world with her friends. An all around “nerd” she enjoys anime, dungeons and dragons, cosplay and comics. When she needs some fresh air you can find her exploring nearby trails with her boyfriend and cats.

Taylor RDA
Dental Assistant

Taylor graduated from the dental assisting program at NSCC in the spring of 2015 and is happy to join ShadBayDental. Taylor enjoys road trips, exploring new places and spending time with friends and family. Shad Bay / Prospect Road  is a beautiful community that Taylor is excited to now be a part of.
