The Latest Diagnostic Tools

We are pleased to offer our patients the latest in diagnostic technologies which offer better patient experience.

Digital Radiography, or digital X-rays, allow our dentists to see inside the tooth. The X-ray appears on a computer monitor next to the patient’s chair, where the images can then be enlarged to enhance visualization of problem areas for both the dentist and patient to see clearly.

The new X-rays, are safer than previous technologies, as they emit nearly ninety percent less radiation. The new digital technology eliminates the use and the disposal issues of developer and chemicals associated with traditional X-ray setups.

Our Intraoral Camera, which is used in conjunction with a computer monitor, takes a detailed picture of the outside of the tooth. This is especially beneficial as an instant communication tool to educate patients and help the dentists make more accurate diagnoses.

Panoramic X-Ray, or Dental Panoramic Radiograph (DPR), is a panoramic scanning dental X-ray used for imaging of the upper and lower jaw. It shows a two-dimensional view of a half-circle from ear to ear. This technology is especially useful to give the dentist a baseline diagnostic view of new patients.
